Report: Comcast-NBCU deal could get approval today

Comcast could get approval from the FCC to buy NBC Universal from General Electric sometime today, according to published reports.

If it does, the conditions outlined by FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski in a Dec. 21 draft are likely to be intact, aside from some minor edits, reports Broadcasting & Cable, quoting two people close to the commission.

Comcast would still have to get approval from the Department of Justice before a deal would be allowed to move forward.
