Tech Crunch says the amount of traffic coming to it through Google TV ranks 18th among top devices visiting the site, with a number that's so statistically small Google Analytics presents it as 0.0 percent.
The smart-TV platform that Google rolled out to much fanfare in October has fallen on its face as it has come out of the gate, unable to convince broadcasters not to block content from coming to the platform, and drawing less-than-stellar reviews for its ease of use and usefulness for things like browsing the Internet, which was supposed to be its strong suit.
Sony has already slashed prices on its line of Google TV products, in one case by some 25 percent.
