Rumor mill: Paid Hulu service for the Xbox

Rumors are swirling that Microsoft's Xbox will be the launching platform for a subscription-based Hulu service later this month.

Gear Live says the platform will be unveiled June 14 at E3. Citing a source that "has never been wrong," it says the pay-Hulu would be on the Xbox dashboard like Netflix, but has no details about how much subscriptions will run or when it might become generally available.

Hulu subscription rumors have popped up before and failed to come true. When Apple launched its iPad in April, Hulu was rumored to be working on a subscription model for the tablet.

So far, nada.
