Hulu's new Hulu Plus premium service has been getting solid reviews across the board, with just a few exceptions. That may be one of the big reasons the catch-up service has managed to start talks with Time Warner Cable for a possible spot in the MSO's video-on-demand lineup. The Hollywood Reporter is saying that although they have no official confirmation of a deal, they have sources that say the talks are ongoing.
And, that shouldn't really be a surprise. Far from being a cable killer, Hulu, or even a premium Hulu Plus could end up being a comfortable--and familiar--interface for users looking for a TV Everywhere offering. As the HR says, better to have a "frenemy" than enemy.
