U-verse exec looks to use OTT as a friend, expects slow TV Everywhere growth

AT&T's U-verse IPTV solution earned $1 billion last quarter, and is continuing to see strong gains in subscribers. Jeff Weber, VP of U-verse and video products for the carrier, says AT&T is looking hard at ways to use OTT delivery to expand its footprint, and believes TV Everywhere efforts will continue to move forward, slowly, as content owners and service providers tread lightly on content rights issues.
