If it were a decade ago, Jamie Wilkinson might have found himself in the business of peddling DVDs.
His business is, after all, essentially finding means and ways of distributing emerging video talent like comedian Aziz Ansari. Before becoming a lynchpin in Netflix's exclusive stand-up comedy lineup, the former "Parks & Recreation" actor submitted his online video fate to Wilkinson's New York startup, VHX, which successfully built a subscription video channel around the comedian.
Wilkinson has since moved onward and upward, as well, with Vimeo acquiring his company last year. Now operating as GM of Vimeo's OTT services group, Wilkinson took 10 minutes to talk to FierceOnlineVideo Editor Daniel Frankel at NAB in Las Vegas earlier this month:
