Streaming Industry Q&A:

What streaming services do you subscribe to?

I have a handful of favorites but also enjoy trying new ones out to see what they are all about.

Describe your biggest career highlight so far.

Aside from my current role at Effectv, by far it was being an early employee (#13) at Beeswax helping to scale the company from a small closet-sized office, to working on the onboarding of Comcast as a Beeswax customer, to now being a global technology company owned by Comcast. Seeing this come full circle was a very rewarding experience.

What has been your biggest career learning experience?

Two books have revolutionized my approach and mentality to my professional career: Caroline Webb's "How to Have a Good Day" and Cal Newport's "So Good They Can't Ignore You." Through these I discovered that the powerful results of deliberate practice and intrinsic motivation are not limited to athletes, musicians, and chess players.

What's next for you in terms of new challenges in streaming TV?

I'm deeply fascinated by Effectv's mission to become the world's smartest audience delivery company. As a mission-driven person, it's something I do not take lightly. My goal is to thoroughly understand and deliver on the needs of modern marketers in a way that respects and values Comcast's relationship with our end consumers. If I can have a meaningfully positive impact in this evolution, then I need look no further than that.
