Amazon’s Luna is finally available to everyone in the U.S.

Amazon is making its Luna cloud gaming service available for all customers in the mainland United States with an expanded library of games and new features.

Luna debuted in the U.S. in late 2020 as an early access program with an introductory price of $5.99 per month. Starting April 1, a new subscription for Luna+ will cost $9.99 per month and Family Channel will cost $5.99 per month. However, the company said existing early access customers and customers who sign up for Luna+ or Family Channel by March 31, 2022, can lock in founder’s pricing for as long as they maintain their subscriptions.

Luna works on Fire TV, Fire tablets, Windows PCs, Chromebook, Macs, iPhones, iPads and Android phones. The service supports the Luna controller, a new Android and iPhone app controller or third-party devices like a Sony PlayStation 4 DualShock 4 controller or Xbox One controller.

The service has also introduced add-on options like the Retro Channel—which provides access to titles including Street Fighter II’ - Hyper Fighting, Metal Slug 3 and Castlevania Anniversary Collection for $4.99 per month—and Jackbox Games Channel—which provides access to Jackbox online games and supports Luna Couch, a feature that lets you invite others to join a multiplayer gameplay sessions even if they don’t have a Luna subscription, for $4.99 per month.

The new channels join the existing Ubisoft+ channel, which provides access to titles including Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, Far Cry 6 and Immortals Fenyx Rising for $17.99 per month.

Amazon has also now connected Luna to Twitch so that users on PC, Mac and Fire TV can access a new broadcast button to let them stream gameplay live with a camera feed overlaid on-screen.

“Luna harnesses the power of the cloud, enabling customers to instantly play high quality, immersive games on the devices they already own,” said Daniel Rausch, vice president of Amazon Entertainment Devices and Services, in a statement. “Today, we’re excited to make Luna available to all customers in the mainland United States, with a unique offer for Prime members to play free games, new Twitch broadcast features for creators, and a broad lineup of titles for any gamer to enjoy.”
