Curiosity Stream debuts ‘Smart Bundle’ with five other SVODs

Curiosity Stream, a subscription streaming service offering original and curated factual content, is rolling out a new bundle that will loop in five other SVOD services.

The “Smart Bundle” will include access to Curiosity Stream’s films, shows and series in 4K along with complimentary access to Tastemade+, SommTV, Topic, One Day University and Nebula. The full product is priced at $69.99 annually and will be available to new subscribers and existing customers who upgrade.

“We believe we’ve built the most compelling collection of intellectually stimulating content out there for, frankly, unrivaled value,” said Devin Emery, chief product officer and executive vice president of content strategy at Curiosity, in a statement. “We’re excited to partner with these leading services to provide subscribers access to the best collection of smart, high-quality entertainment anchored by Curiosity Stream’s Premium 4K offering.”

Last week, Curiosity announced a new distribution partnership with Stockholm-headquartered Viaplay to make Curiosity films, shows and series available to Viaplay subscribers in the Nordic and Baltic regions. The company also set new partnerships with El Espectador in Colombia, Telekom Slovenije in Central Eastern Europe, and Shanghai Media Group and CCTV in China.

With the expanded availability of the linear Curiosity Channel to select platforms along with on-demand content offered either through the Curiosity Stream app or through partner services, the company said it now has approximately 23 million subscribers worldwide.

As Curiosity continues to expand globally it’s offering its content in more languages including including English, Spanish, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish, Dutch, Russian, German, Slovenian and Mandarin.
