Verizon’s Yahoo Sports streaming all 4 NFL playoff games this weekend

Verizon’s Yahoo Sports platform will play host to livestreams of all four NFL Divisional Round Playoff games this weekend.

Yahoo Sports said it will be the only platform allowing users to stream all four games. Users will need to download the Yahoo Sports app for either Android or iOS to watch them.

The games kick off on Saturday, Jan. 13:

  • Jan 13, 4:35 p.m.: Atlanta Falcons vs. Philadelphia Eagles on NBC
  • Jan 13, 8:15 p.m.: Tennessee Titans vs. New England Patriots on CBS
  • Jan 14, 1:05 p.m.: Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Pittsburgh Steelers on CBS
  • Jan 14, 4:40 p.m.: New Orleans Saints vs. Minnesota Vikings on Fox

Yahoo Sports will also host livestreams for both the AFC and NFC Championship games the following weekend as well as the Pro Bowl taking place on Jan. 28.

These playoff games serve as a prelude for next season. At that point, Yahoo Sports will be allowed to stream in-market and national games—including national preseason, regular season, playoff games and the Super Bowl—nationwide regardless of mobile network by downloading the Yahoo Sports app. That’s thanks to a new deal Verizon struck late last year with the NFL.

In a $2.25 billion deal with the NFL, Verizon gave up its exclusive rights to stream NFL games to smartphones but was able to secure more games to distribute via its Oath (AOL and Yahoo combined) platforms.

Next season, Verizon will be streaming Sunday Night, Monday Night and Thursday Night football games, along with associated content across its digital and mobile properties, including online video platform, Go90.

Yahoo first streamed a live NFL game in 2015 and managed to rack up 15.2 million unique viewers, 33.6 million video streams and over 460 million total minutes of video consumed.
