Amino powers HD service in Netherlands

Lijbrandt Telecom in the Netherlands selected Amino to supply its set-top boxes with HD content stream in what reports are calling "the first ever high definition (HD) IPTV service in Norther Europe." The service launched just in time for the World Cup soccer matches. Besides HDTV, the service includes triple-play services like Internet access, TV and VoIP services. Lijbrandt invested €150 million to €200 million into the network and expects to have 120,000 subscribers within three years.
