AT&T (NYSE: T) continues to roll out fiber-to-the-premises 1-gig services faster than cable competitors Comcast (NASDAQ: CMCSA) and Charter (NASDAQ: CHTR) can respond with DOCSIS 3.1-powered 1-gig deployments of their own.
AT&T said it has launched 1 Gbps FTTP services in 15 apartment complexes in San Diego, Calif., including the master-planned community of Civita in Mission Valley.
It has also deployed these 1 Gbps products in several apartment complexes in the El Paso, Texas area.
