French say 50% of ADSL households now subscribe to IPTV

Triple-play offerings have helped drive IPTV adoption among ADSL-served broadband customers in France with nearly 50 percent subscribing to IP television services.

France's telecom regulator, ARCEP, says that a year ago, just 36.9 percent of customers using ADSL also subscribed to IPTV. The agency said that translates to 8.2 million households connected to IPTV compared to 6.2 million a year ago.
