Captioning company partners with Brightcove

Automatic Sync Technologies will partner with white label OVP Brightcove to provide joint customers with the ability to add time-coded, synchronized captions to videos, expanding the reach of online video to a wider audience and helping some content producers satisfy state and federal mandates for content accessibility for deaf and hard of hearing audiences.

Producers also incorporate captions to make video searchable and to improve viewer comprehension, especially in educational and training videos. Caption files also help provide a source for foreign language translation.

File transfers are completely automated, allowing video producers to streamline the production of accessible, discoverable and searchable video content.

"Automatic Sync is working to ensure that captions can be created quickly and cost-effectively across all video platforms and devices," says Kevin Erler, president of Automatic Sync Technologies. "Our partnership with Brightcove points to our commitment to make video universally accessible and searchable, by providing high-quality, complete and accurate closed captioning that is an integral part of production workflow."
