Local ad sales offer opportunities to promote shows, networks

Cable subscribers watch a lot of TV. That translates into a lot of ad inventory for local cable operators to sell, and cable operators are beginning to use that inventory to both help boost revenue through local ad sales and promote individual shows, networks and other services they offer.
