MyPod Studios and Bravo Studios plot original online shows

Video partners MyPod Studios and Bravo Studios have begun production of five original online shows they expect to launch by the end of this year. The new original programming will join 10 existing satellite sites about cooking, health, entertainment and other topics.

The shows are part of MPS' plan to develop a wealth of short 90 to 120 second programs. At least three additional shows are being developed "with a rolling, monthly launch schedule of new production planned throughout 2013," according to a story in Adotas.

"MyPod Studios has seen explosive growth over the past year because we understand how to create and deliver premium online video that people can find quickly and actually want to watch," Jay Miletsky, the company's founder-CEO, said in the story. "The decision to team with Bravo Studios and the creation of new multi-dimensional satellite sites are both prime examples of how we're delivering on what viewers, and also advertisers, need from a video community."

Among the new shows will be "The Non Cooking, Cooking Show" that shows audiences how to use spices, wines, knives, cheeses and other elements; "Top Shelf," a drink mixture educational program; "Stretch at Your Desk," where a physical expert instructs ways to keep fit at work; and "90 Second Savings," where a financial expert teaches how to save money.

MPS, in addition to the more consumer-oriented video fare, is also expanding into the commercial space with the recently acquired First Page Networks, which focuses on the real estate industry.
