DirecTV (NASDAQ:DTV) Sports Network has chosen multiplatform broadcast technology company NeuLion's digital platform to power the newly launched websites for its three regional sports channels at Rootsports.com.
The interactive websites include on demand sports video content for the newly rebranded Root Sports television networks. Root Sports broadcasts sporting events from more than 25 teams and conferences through exclusive programming and distribution partnerships to more than 8.7 million viewers across 18 states.
In addition to the newly redesigned websites, NeuLion's content management system gives Root Sports control of the sites' content so that the regional sites can be quickly updated with articles, videos, advertising, promotions and rich media.
