Oscar de la Hoya, FilmOn team up to stream free boxing channels

Boxing legend Oscar de la Hoya is teaming up with linear streaming service FilmOn to offer two free, ad-supported boxing channels, The Golden Boy Channel and Ring Channel.

The Golden Boy Channel will feature more than 2,000 hours of de la Hoya's past fights on demand, while the Ring Channel will live-stream boxing matches from the retired fighter's L.A. Fight Club series. The channels are slated to launch on Jan. 29.

The streaming channels are part of a bigger plan for the team-up with FilmOn, as de la Hoya has an additional Spanish-language channel in the works and will host a combat-sports talk show on the FilmOn Networks TV channel. Variety article
