The $30 billion deal that gives Comcast a controlling share in NBC Universal could be "a disaster" for consumers, says one consumer advocate. The joint venture between GE and Comcast is sure to face a lengthy regulatory process -- up to 18 months -- as the Obama administration already has said it's concerned mergers stifle competition.
