Revry, McDonalds to host LGBTQ+ Pride livestream event

Revry, an LGBTQ+ oriented streaming service, is partnering with McDonald’s USA to host the second annual “House of Pride” virtual celebration, where the companies expect to receive millions of viewers.

The event, scheduled to premiere on June 5 at 8 p.m. ET, will consist of live music and dance performances, comedy segments and other entertainment. It will be available to stream throughout June on smart TV devices like The Roku Channel, Vizio, Amazon Fire and more.

"House of Pride streamed 600K times in its first year, and this June, we are expecting millions to tune-in," said Damian Pelliccione, CEO and co-founder of Revry, in a statement. "With the support of McDonald's, we are able to include so many of the LGBTQ voices in Pride programming that are representative and inclusive of our diverse community."

Launched in 2016, Revry offers both free, ad-supported content as well as a subscription option. The service is available globally on digital platforms and has FAST channels on networks like Samsung TV, Xumo and fuboTV.

Revry touts a focus on LGBTQ-first programming, indicative of an increase of LGBTQ+ consumers across its distribution partners. The service saw a 5x growth in monthly active viewers in 2021 – to over 20 million viewers.

"We've been working to partner with more diverse-owned media, and a big part of that is our expanded partnership with Revry to create fun and meaningful events that bring together the LGBTQ+ community,” said Elizabeth Campbell, senior director of cultural engagement marketing at McDonald’s USA, in a statement.
